1. Preparations
1.1. Download
The current version of TSNotifier can be downloaded from http://tsnotifier.cfxxl.de. You either need the installer or the zip-version.
1.2. Installation
Installer: Just double-click the installer and follow the instructions.
zip: unpack the zip archive to a folder on your harddrive.
1.3. Prepare TeamSpeak 3
To make TSNotifier work with TeamSpeak 3 you have to install the TSNotifier HelperPlugin first. From version 1.3.9. onward this should already be done by the TSNotifier installer. You can ignore the next section unless this didn’t work.
1.3.1. Manually install Helper Plugin
Variant 1:
Right click the TSNotifier tray-icon and select Update HelperPlugins…. If this doesn’t work use variant 2 below.
Variant 2:
Download TSNotifier Helper Plugins from http://tsnotifier.cfxxl.de. Now you open the zip file and copy the 2 files into your TeamSpeak 3 plugin folder (C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak3\plugins\). Now you open the zip file and extract the file that corresponds to your TeamSpeak 3 installation (32/64bit) to any folder you like (e.g. to your desktop). Double-click the extracted file. This should install the plugin. After that you start TS 3 and open Tools – Options – Addons…. Here you aktivate the TSNotifier HelperPlugin (if necessary). Now TSNotifier should work with TeamSpeak 3.
2. Usage
2.1. Starting the program
If you used the installer, you should find a new group for TSNotifier in the startmenu. Here you click TSNotifier shortcut to start the programm.
If you used the zip-Version, open the folder you extracted the archive to and start TSNotifier.exe (TSNotifier_64.exe should never be started directly).
No matter how you started the program there should be a new icon in the system-tray.
2.2. Configuration
Right-click the tray-icon to open a context-menu that offers various settings. Here you can change language-settings, colors and display-position of speakers etc.
2.3. Adding a game to the gamesettings.ini
To allow TSNotifier to display anything ingame, you have to add the game the whitelist. You do that like this:
- Start TSNotifier.
- Start the game.
- Quit the game.
- Right-click the tray-icon and choose Edit gamesettings.ini…
- This should open gamesettings.ini in your text-editor. The gamesttings.ini look like this:
[game.exe] game.enabled=0
- One of the last entries should be for your game. Set enabled to 1.
[game.exe] game.enabled=1
Important: If the game asks for Admin-rights on launch you will also need to run TSNotifier as Admin.
Important: For most games you’ll also find entries for launchers. Usually, you don’t need to enable these. - Start the game again. There should be a text showing that TSNotifier is active.

Hi!
I’ve tested it yesterday night and it was working perfectly on single monitor, i’m using 3 monitors with softTH and mostly for sim racing.
Can you tell me, is there a way to make it work using 3 monitors and softTH
Specification:
W7 32 bit
HIS ati radeon HD 4850
GIGABYTE ati radeon 5450
Triple monitors ASUS VH192D (4098 x 768)
http://www.kegetys.net/
Thank in advance
I don’t know how softTH works but I’d guess it also hooks directx to do whatever it does. This would be the only cause for this problem I can think of right now. You could try starting the game without tsnotifier and starting tsnotifier while the game is already running. This might help but there’s no guaranty.
hi, great piece of mini-software, just one minor bug to it: my gamesettings.ini file seems to add every process that i’ve got working when i have it on. i can’t get it to work on simple explorer 🙁 thoughts ?
every process is added to gamesettings.ini, but that doesn’t mean the overlay will work for that program. The program still has to use direct3d9/10.
how do i enable this for steam games? it doesnt show the game in the ini file
you could try starting tsnotifier as administrator. If the game still doesn’t show up in the ini file, it seems that tsnotifier just doesn’t work with that game.
I tried the plug-in, followed the instructions, and upon starting the game (Eve Online), I see text scrolling from left to right on top (DirectX9), but nothing shows on screen when someone speaks on teamspeak…any ideas?
Hey man What exatly did you type in the editor, I still havent been able to get mine going, FML. Any help would be appreciated! thanx!
Nevermind, fixed it. Forgot to install TS Notifier Helper Plugin hehe. Works perfectly, thanks a lot man, great work!
Hi,
i try to use your overlay system but it seems not to be working.
I copied the 2 files in my pluggins folder, enabled the pluggin in TS3 pluggins management system.
Then i launched TSnotifier (as Administrator or not) and nothing appened.
I change all enabled variables to 1 in the gamesettings.ini and still nothing, even on the explorer.exe
I’m using TS 3.0.036 and windows 7 pro.
tsnotifier will only work if the game is using direct3d9 or direct3d10. and even then there are some games that won’t work with tsnotifier.
Arf, i was hoping to find a TS Overlay that doesn’t work with DX :s
I’ve got a problem with it : it was working perfectly, but now that I have a Windows7 64 bits edition, it runs, but kinda “crash” : If i right click and “edit gamesettings…” it doesn’t do anything, then I right click again, it comes. Fine.
Problem is, when I launch a game or any application on which I want to use the Overlay, the application crashes “freezes”. And I have to exit TS Notifier via ctrl+alt+suppr.
Any solution ?
Hello,
I’m having a problem with World of Tanks game and TS notifier. It just doesn’t work in this game…. 🙁
On other games it does. Any suggestions?
there are various reasons, that could prevent tsnotifier from working with a game. Maybe it doesn’t use d3d9 or d3d10. Or it uses some anti-cheat methods, that don’t “like” tsnotifier.
Does World of Tanks request admin-rights when launching? If so you need to run tsnotifier as admin as well.
Hey, works for me fine, I have enabled hardware overlay to see who is speaking but it is terribly slow the game to about 10 fps. I normally have 20-30 fps. Any idea what’s going on?
Ps.: This is not the fault of poor computer 🙂
could you please post your hw_overlay.ini?
[overlay]
; Overlay Dimensions (don’t make it to big, it will block your view)
overlay.width=150
overlay.height=100
; only show overlay when someone is speaking
overlay.showonlywhenspeaking=1
; draw a border around the overlay
overlay.border=0
; Overlay Position
; -1: Ignore(use setting from TSNotifier)
; 0 : Top-Left
; 1 : Middle-Left
; 2 : Top-Center
; 3 : Center
; 4 : Top-Right
; 5 : Middle-Right
overlay.position=-1
; move Overlay to the right or left (negative values)
overlay.offsetX=0
; move Overlay to the down or up (negative values)
overlay.offsetY=0
; background-color of overlay (0xRRGGBB)
; set to -1 for transparent background (this is no real transparancy,
; so there will be a noticeable delay when the background is updated)
overlay.backgroundcolor=0xC0C0C0
; Font settings for the overlay
font.name=Tahoma
font.size=15
; set hook.enabled=0 to disable hooking
; you have to restart TSNotifier for this to take effect
hook.enabled=1
looks ok to me.
then it might actually be a hardware/driver conflict. hardware overlays aren’t really well supported by a lot of modern hardware. may using the hardware overlay forces your graphic card/driver to not use its full power.
also you should make sure that you disabled the normal ingame overlay for your games, if you didn’t already do this.
other than that I don’t think this can be solved by me.
Hi there 🙂
Thx 4 gr8 plugin 🙂 finally i know who-is-talking-to-me 😉 anyway, there is some confict between TSNotifier and X Fire, i mean, when TSN interface appear, XF interface dissappear 😉 especially in SWAT 4 🙂
Hello there 😛 I have a problem with TSNotifier and Global Agenda. This game can run both in DX9 and DX10 (selectable in the options). If I run it in DX9 TSNotifier works fine, but if I choose DX10 I can only see the text on the top “TSNotifier DirectX10 Enabled” but channel/names are not displayed. Any clues? I really would like to use DX10, and I don’t think is a game problem (blocks, etc) since it works fine in DX9. Any clues?
there are problems with global agenda and dx10. right now i don’t know what’s causing them. i already started to download the game on steam, but right now i’m on really slow internet, so that will take a while.
Great, hope you find the problem! If you need some debug info or take some logs for you just let me know. But I don’t know how and if it’s possible to do that with the downloadable version of TSNotifier.
Font is tine, how to increase it?
tiny
In Rift
On the character selection screen is ok, but there is problem in game
currently, you can’t change font settings.
This is on my todo-list and I think it will be in one the next versions.
The problem is not in font as I guess.
The problem is “bounding” to small frame of character instead of whole screen
I don’t really understand what you mean by that.
I can’t seem to get it to work with Mortal Online using DX10. In DX9 it works fine… Problem of the game or TSN?
When I installed it, and run it, the TSNotifier scroll runs across the top, but nothing else appears in game. Under Settings>Plugins in TS3, TSNotifier is red, and states that it uses API 13 and API required is 14. What is this, and how do I fix it? I’m running the latest version of TS3 according to the updater.
download and install TSNotifier Version 1.4.8 from http://tsnotifier.cfxxl.de,
and make sure the HelperPlugin also has Version 1.4.8 (should be updated automatically be the installer)
Tried it, unzipped file, copied everything both the my TS Notifier folder, and the TS3 Plugins folder. Still same error. What’s the correct path to install, no readme.
1. right-click the tray-icon
2. click Update HelperPlugins…
Did that, no help. Version on TSNotifier indicates I’m running the corrected version. TS3 is latest as well.
it seems to me, that you don’t have ts3 version 3.0.2 (this version is only available through the ts3 beta channel)
In that case you should go back to tsnotifier Version 1.4.7, because 1.4.8 requires ts3 Version 3.0.2
or wait until ts3 Version 3.0.2 is officially released (should be some time this week)
or look here to learn how to activate the beta channel and get Version 3.0.2
any feature coming soon where you can move the speaking window over your screen?
I play a browser game called darkorbit. I play it on firefox. I have enabled it in ts3 plugins, i put a 1 on firefox and plugin container. I get nothing at all
I can’t get it to show overlay on Rift at all.
I’m running Win 7 64bit and run TS3, TSNotifier in admin mode.
TS3 version 3.0.2
TSNotifier 1.4.8
On Ts3 TSNotifier plugin is Enabled.
On Gamesettings.ini there is:
[rift.exe]
game.enabled=1
[riftpatchlive.exe]
game.enabled=1
So if you could tell me what can be wrong let me know.
Thx in advance
Would it be possible to add more locations for the speaker list? Right now we have top right, top center, top right and ditos for a center row. Would it be hard to add like “top center left” and right added (half way between top center and top right) and ditos for the other rows as well as a new bottom row?
this is possible since version 1.4.6
new setting in gamesettings.ini:
speaker.offsetX: moves speakers right (positive values) or left (negative values)
speaker.offsetY: moves speakers down (positive values) or up (negative values)
logscroller.offsetX: moves log-scroller right (positive values) or left (negative values)
logscroller.offsetY: moves log-scroller down (positive values) or up (negative values)
Example:
[game.exe]
game.enabled=1
speaker.offsetX=10
speaker.offsetY=-20
Did not work. version 1.4.9. Windows 7 * 64. Runs gray box in which fonts are turned inside out. Can you help?
I don’t really understand the problem.
Can you give some more information? Screenshots maybe?
ОК
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/651/imag0104xk.jpg
screenshot does not display – photo
what graphics-card do you use?
SP GF GTX 460
ok, I’ll look into it.
Could you tell me at what resolution and color-depth your running? And what driver-version are you using for your graphics card? Maybe updating the drivers could fix this problem.
I use 2 monitors. One at 1920 * 1080 (27″) to another 1280 * 1024 (19″). Turning off the monitor, changed the resolution to 800 * 600. It did not help. (Not corrected). Rolls back the driver, no result. Now I’m using driver version 295.51 graphics card
color 32 bit and 60 hertz
should be fixed in version 1.5.0
Hi, its working fine but I would like to fine tune the postion of the middle/centre…when I trie to alter hw_overlay in notepad it wont let me save the new edit – any way I can work around this?
thanks
Sorry, saw that it is the gamesettings.ini to edit 🙂
Hi i got it to work with GW2 perfectly but after some time i realised that some of the skills animation dont show any more.
Any one got a fix for this ?
thx in advance
BR
helle guys i work on w7 and when i strat the 1.5.2d the aero theme of seven is shut
if someone can help me it is very nice ^^
That should only happen if you are using hardware overlay. Sadly this is limitation of windows and cannot be changed.
ok thanks for anwser ^^
I’ve got TSNotifier to work fine using the hw, but it only works on the desktop not in my UT2004 game? Win7 64, as soon as i make the game full screen it doesn’t show up it’s still on the desktop behind the game?
hw overlays don’t work if a program takes exclusive control(i.e. fullscreen-mode) over the graphics card. the only way for hw overlay to work is using window-mode.
thx for your addons
I have a couple of questions about languages.
Other language are not feasible on overlay, how I could use other language in overlayer function?
right now, only english and german are available. but once I finish the work on the new ui (whenever that will be^^) it will be a lot easier to for me to add other languages (similar to the way ts3 does translations). that however depends on if there are people willing to do the translation work because I can’t do that on my own.
It’s not showing on the Right side of my screen center top left top center middle left top left work all fine. The middle right and top right dont.
help?
I need more information.
what game?
ingame overlay or hardware overlay?
anything special about your setup(like resolution, multiple monitors, 3d monitors)?
did you set custom offsets for the position (speaker.offsetX,speaker.offsetY) in your gamesettings.ini?
I figured it out I somehow had the hardware overlay.ini set to 10 offset to the right which on a right sided positioned moved it off screen.
How to enable and use the chat window? when I check the hotkey it is grayed out.
the chat-window is disabled until I find a better solution.
after nearly 15000 downloads you are the only one to notice it was gone, so it doesn’t have a high priority right now.
I was looking for that feature too! ):
Works perfectly, after tweaking at my likings…
But how do i deactivate the signatures appearing beside the speaker names?? Help!
what do you mean by signatures? the avatar-pictures?
this http://blog.cfxxl.de/index.php/how-to/extended-render-engine-options/?lang=en might help you
Thanks! And is there anything that i can do to change things like, text transparency?
I would also like to be able to position the speaker on bottom-left.
for now you can’t change the text-tranparency
there are no settings to place text at the bottom, but you these setting in gamesettings.ini:
speaker.offsetX: moves speakers right (positive values) or left (negative values)
speaker.offsetY: moves speakers down (positive values) or up (negative values)
logscroller.offsetX: moves log-scroller right (positive values) or left (negative values)
logscroller.offsetY: moves log-scroller down (positive values) or up (negative values)
to fine-tune the position
OK thank you very much. BTW, nice plugin, and keep up the good work!
I have a problem with tsnotifier, i can’t delete it.
when i execute taskkill /PID xxxx /F it doesn’t work.
therefore i can’t reinstall it because it’s not completely unintalled.
i have installed tsnotifier on C:/program files/Ts notifier2/
some precision:
i have uninstalled ts notifier but tsnotifier.exe still there and running.
impossible to delete it and stop it.
just restart your computer and make sure tsnotifier isn’t in autostart
Doesn’t work with win 8.1. Crashing after starting Guild Wars 2 Launcher.
works fine here.
Is the game Darkorbit http://www.darkorbit.com supported?
only games that use direct3d9, direct3d10 or direct3d11 are supported. But since that game seems to be a browser-game i’d guess it won’t work with tsnotifier. you could try the hardware overlay(tray-icon-menu –> General –> Hardware Overlay), although that has a lot of limitations itself.
Hello, I’ve been trying to get the overlay working with GTA SA.exe for a good 4 hours now, to play it with samp.
First it wouldnt register in the .ini that the game was in there, later found out that it was because the overlay had to run in the same compatibility mode as the game, and now I can make it work together with the launcher. (The overlay shows up in loading screen)
But as soon as the loading screen ends, the game freezes/crashes. Sort of like minimizing the game itself, and freezing the mouse in place in the center of the screen, but the game sound can still be heard in the background, but it freezes you in the desktop, help me 🙁
another samp user told me that this helped with him. i don’t know anything about samp and don’t know how this fix works so i can’t really help any further with that.
So i’ve tried using TSNotifier on SAMP, for whatever reason it does not work on Windows 8, I just keep crashing and getting an error message. I tried compatibility mode yet I get an “unable to execute” message on connecting, anyway to fix this?
most likely, you need to update your directx (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109)
Any way to bump the font size up? I’m running 1440p and the font is just too small. I’ve changed hw_overlay.ini and it appears it’s not respecting my changes. I bumped up the overlay width/height (300/200) and the font size (20) but the font is still too small. If I bump the font size higher there is no change at all.
Note: I’ve stopped TSN before changes, stopped the game, etc. No luck.
settings in the hw_overlay.ini only work, if you are using the hardware-overlay. the ingame-overlay uses the gamesettings.ini.
Example:
[game.exe]
game.enabled=1
font.name=Tahoma
font.size=15
Hi, I don’t know where to post feature requests, but the thing that I would like to see added is:
When someone log into my channel, I’d like to be able to see who they are.
the log-scroller already shows people joining or leaving your channel
Planetside 2 has had an update, 64 bit client. TSNotifier doesn’t work anymore, I tried [TSNotifier.x64] game.enabled=1 but no luck.
Does TS Notifier support 64bit games ?
most games have different exe-filenames for their 64-bit version. So you will have to eanble that new filename in the gamesettings.ini.
for example (I don’t know the correct filename):
[planetside-64.exe]
game.enabled=1
the correct filename should actually be already somewhere in the gamesettings.ini (if not you might need to run TSNotifier as admin), so you just have to set game.enabled=1.
Best overlay software for TS3 so far. Thanks man.
I was hoping you could add a feature to control the placement more, for example “bottom-right” and “bottom-left” or maybe even the ability to choose X and Y pixel locations to fine-tune the location
there are no settings to place text at the bottom, but you these setting in gamesettings.ini:
speaker.offsetX: moves speakers right (positive values) or left (negative values)
speaker.offsetY: moves speakers down (positive values) or up (negative values)
logscroller.offsetX: moves log-scroller right (positive values) or left (negative values)
logscroller.offsetY: moves log-scroller down (positive values) or up (negative values)
to fine-tune the position
Hello.
Is TS Notifier compatible with The Elder Scrolls Online?
I’ve been trying to get it to work, followed instructions (made eso.exe enabled in gamesettings.ini, placed the Helper files, enbled it in Teamspeak, etc.) but Notifier still doesn’t show up in game. I have the latest version of both Teamspeak and Notifier. My gpu is GTX580 Matrix, on Win7-64bit.
When starting TESO I see the message that “TS Notifier is active”, but nothing shows up after that.
Any clues? Thanks!
if you see that message it means tsnotifier was able to hook into the game.
1. make sure the tsnotifier helper plugin has the same version as tsnotifier.
2. right click the tsnotifier tray-icon and check under general that you didn’t disable the stuff you want to display.
3. try running tsnotifier and ts3 as administrator.
4. did you setup some custom-position in the gamesettings.ini that might have moved the overlay off screen?
Hi,
is there any chanse to bump up the font size and then only show the text?I doent like the cray box what shows every time the overlay works.
seems like you are using the hardware-overlay?
if yes, then right-click tsnotifier tray-icon and select General – Hardware Overlay – Edit hw_overlay.ini….
Here you can change the font settings by editing the values font.name and font.size.
Example:
font.name=Tahoma
font.size=15
That file also contains the value overlay.backgroundcolor. Setting this to -1 will make the overlay-background transparent but everything that lies behind the overlay will be updated slower than the rest of your screen (and no, that can’t be changed because it’s a limitation of hardware overlays).
Tanks for help!It works now
Hi all,
In game, can we show all the TeamSpeak strucure, not only one channel ?
at the moment that’s not possible, and it won’t be implemented anytime soon.
I seem to be having an issue with an older game.
Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead.
I believe it uses DX9c but don’t hold me to that.
I can get it to work intermittently only it would seem.
Sometimes by loading TS, hit alt+ctrl+shift -F11 then immediately load the game. It would work once or twice.
I’m trying to help the other guys get some other plugins to work, but they won’t unless TS is up to date, and they want their overlay to work lol
Is there any setting tricks available to try, or is all you need is a heads up, hey I need help with this game and maybe a fix in the next update?
I have no problem reporting back any information of findings on beta testing any fixes you might have in mind.
from what I could find out that game uses DirectX 8, which isn’t supported (and never will be).
Two other people have checked my TSNotifier (TSN) flies and can find nothing that would cause the following:
I can see the TSN window right up to the time (on the desktop, and other screens showing Cliffs of Dover going through it’s start-up sequence), if I have Hardware Overlay enabled. As soon as I click “fly” and get into the cockpit, it disappears. I can still hear others on TeamSpeak (TS), but can’t see their names, because the tsn window is gone.
If Hardware Overlay is not enabled, I see no TSN window anywhere, anytime.
I use Win7 64 bit, and have the latest TS and TSN files.
Hardware Overlay has a lot of restrictions (that I can’t do anything about). One of these restrictions is that it doesn’t work when a game uses exclusive(real) fullscreen. If the game supports something like fullscreen-window or windowed fullscreen you could try that, but there is still no guaranty that it will work.
For the in-game-overlay to work you will have to edit the gamesettings.ini (right-click tray-icon and select Edit gamesettings.ini) and add the games exe-file (it should be in there somewhere already, if not try running tsnotifier as admin) and set game.enabled=1.
Example:
[game.exe]
game.enabled=1
Andreas,
Screen is on Pseudo, game,exe is set on 1. But no changet.
Here is what my gamesettings.ini looks like
[vcredist_x64.exe]
game.enabled=0
[vcredist_x86.exe]
game.enabled=0
[taskhost.exe]
game.enabled=0
[pcalua.exe]
game.enabled=0
speaker.offsetY=20
[TrackIR5.exe]
game.enabled=0
[LCore.exe]
game.enabled=0
[gbtray.exe]
game.enabled=0
[AutoUpdate.exe]
game.enabled=0
[bdagent.exe]

[AppleIEDAV.exe]
game.enabled=0
[AirDisplay.exe]
game.enabled=0
[APSDaemon.exe]
game.enabled=0
[iCloudServices.exe]
game.enabled=0
[iCloudDrive.exe]
game.enabled=0
[taskmgr.exe]
game.enabled=0
[conhost.exe]
game.enabled=0
font.size=30
speaker.offsetY=20
[UpdHelperPlugins.exe]
game.enabled=0
[nvspcaps64.exe]
game.enabled=0
[nvcplui.exe]
game.enabled=0
[seccenter.exe]
game.enabled=0
[game.exe]
game.enabled=1
[ts3client_win64.exe]
game.enabled=1
Anything there I can change to get this to work?
Thanks,
badfinger
[game.exe] was just an example. you have replace that with the games filename. after googling around it seems for your game that would be launcher.exe.
Also it seems the game requests admin-rights when it starts, so you need to also run tsnotifier as administrator.
maybe this website can also help youhttp://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15463:
From the hw_overlay.ini I see that you use Tahoma font. Is it possible to manually change it so that I have a different font ingame?
Thanks.
you can uses the font.name and font.size settings in your gamesettings.ini to change the font.
e.g.
[game.exe]
game.enabled=1
font.name=Arial
font.size=24
Thanks 🙂
Andreas, Thanks for all the work you have put into this. After playing with the ini file a little, it’s working perfectly. Thanks again for the great work! As two cents from someone who doesn’t know squat about programming… instead of using the Hardware Overlay, maybe some sort of GUI that changes/updates the settings in the ini file? As a lot of these questions seem the revolve around things that could be solved if they didnt have to choose between editing the ini and Hardware Overlay. Thanks again for everything!

I actually started working on a new gui that would get rid of all this ini-file-editing. But sadly haven’t really been able to any time into finishing that project.
works great in planetside 2, tested ts overlay 64 bits, project kryptonite, playclaw, overwolf overlay, all those pgrs just make ps2 crashing or dont have all of your options.
i just need 2 more options:
-a fade out option timer for speaker like the automated one you puted for the log scroller.
-it seems the log scroller dont show ppl disconnection.
great work thx.
Hello, it is with pleasure that I use this program, which is the best I have encountered so far. However, would it be possible in the display to columns? Indeed, I view the overlay in the middle-high and when more than 10 people join the channel, the very low decend list. My request would be to display the columns of X people to avoid this too hides the central part of the screen.
I know it is possible to display only people talking, but I need a list to know in real time that is present.
Thank you for your reply.
PS: translated with Google Translation
I can’t promise anything for the near future but I will think about it.
Works as a charme, but with the new TeamSpeak update (3.0.19.4) QT version 5.5.1 – the TS Notifier doesn’t work anymore for me. Anybody similar issues?
the newest version of ts3 is 3.1. And you need to install the newest TSNotifier version 1.6.0c for it work. Unless you are playing Arma 3 or Planetsite 2 (or another BattlEye game) then you’ll need to read this http://blog.cfxxl.de/index.php/2017/01/tsnotifier-and-anti-cheat-software/?lang=en
I got the latest 1.6.0c and when I install / repair I get a “Failed to extract: plugins/TS3NotifierHelper_Win64.dll”.
I re-downloaded 1.6.0c in case my download was corrupted but get the same results and TSNotifier no longer shows in Rise of Flight or Il2 Battle of Stalingrad.
This has nothing to do with a corrupted download (I think). In the new version the setup is using the package-installer that comes with TS3 to install the the helper plugin. And for some reason that installation fails. A few things you could try:
1. make sure ts3 is not running
2. locate TS3NotifierHelper_Win64.dll (should be in %appdata%\TS3Client\plugins or in a “ts3install-folder”\plugins depending on your ts3-installation)
3. delete TS3NotifierHelper_Win64.dll
4. start tsnotifier and right-click the tray-icon, then click Update HelperPlugins…
5. if that doesn’t work: goto “C:\Program Files (x86)\TS Notifier\TS3HelperPlugin\” (or where ever you installed tsnotifer) and open TS3NotifierHelper_Win64.ts3_plugin. this should install the plugin
6. if that doesn’t work: rename TS3NotifierHelper_Win64.ts3_plugin to TS3NotifierHelper_Win64.zip and open that file with any zip-programm and extract/copy the TS3NotifierHelper_Win64.dll to you ts3-plugin-folder (the one where you deleted the dll in step 3)
I did this as well just to make sure everything was there but with the new version on TS3 3.1.0.1 it wont load this is what i get under plug ins

dont know if im doing something wrong either?
it seems to me you updated tsnotifier before updating ts3. which caused the helper plugin to not be updated.
right-click the tsnotifier tray-icon and select “Update HelperPlugins…” to solve the issue.
Hi Andreas,
I tried all the steps that you recommended but only #6 seemed to work – renaming and extracting the Win64.dll to the TS3 folder.
However, Notifier not working and I’m getting the same “api version not compatible” in TS3 options / addons that Rick Davidson noted. When I “Update Helper Plugins” I get the same “Failed to extract …dll” error. One of my friends said that he had to re-load an earlier TS3 version to cure this but I don’t have an earlier version of TS3 saved.
the only way the „api version not compatible“ error could be happening is if you didn’t install the newest ts3 version (3.1.0.1). that would alse explain all the other errors you were getting with the installation.
Hi Andreas
I don’t mean to be a pest but I’m really missing TSNotifier.
I do have 3.1.0.1 installed. I just ran TS updater for good measure. Still the same “Update Helper Plugins” “Failed to extract …dll” error and “api version not compatible” . I re-installed TS3 from a fresh download… still same. I guess next option is to completely uninstall and reinstall both TS3 and TSNotifier?
i reuploaded the installation-file and used a different zip programm to create the plugin-package. maybe that will help. also goto your ts3-installation folder and run createfileassoc.exe. otherwise it seems to be a problem with your ts3 installation. could it be, that you have multiple ts3-installations?
can you install any other plugin from myteamspeak.com?
since this seems to be a ts3 problem rather than a tsnotifier problem, you should probably also make a post on the ts3 forums (http://forum.teamspeak.com/).
Hi
have tested you tsnotifier
it well show the speaker but dont show the chat log from ts3
how can i set it up ?
right-click tray-icon select General – Show Log. (Incoming) Chat messages are part of the log. Outgoing chat messages are not shown because you’d have to switch to the ts3 client anyway to write them.
