Hi Andrea, good work so far. I’ve been successfully using the notifier 1.5, but since i upgraded i got an error msg when lauching TS3 : The program can’t start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0.dll is missing.
Do i need to reinstall the helper or something. Can’t figure a way around this. (ts3 can’t seem to find the helper dlls anymore)
These files should come with the Visual C++ Redistributable 2015.
If you already installed those (they are packaged with TSNotifier) and still get this error, you might have run into this bug https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/1406887/visual-c-redistributable-for-visual-studio-2015-rc-fails-to-install-kb2999226.
The windows update KB2999226 isn’t installed and can’t be installed (most likely because other prerequisite windows-updates aren’t installed yet).
The only advise I can give right now is this:
1. uninstall Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 (x86 and x64)
2. let windows search for windows-updates
3. install these updates and reboot your pc
4. repeat steps 2 and 3 until no more updates can be found
5. try reinstalling the Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 (x86 and x64) and pray that the KB2999226-update is installed or can be installed.
Sorry, that I can’t give any more help right now.
i found.sry. installer didn’t install properly the x86 AND the x64 versions of the VC++ redist. Did it manually from the zip.
Can you help me? I’m using the latest TS notifier (the 1.6.0) and I cannot get it to show up under dx11 games. It could be that it works under 32 bit dx11 games but for sure it doesn’t work under 64 bit dx11 games. After I switch back to 64 bit dx9 rendering, the overlay pops right back up.
I have hook.legacymode=1 and example games in which it doesn’t work are: Mechwarrior online and War Thunder.
make sure you have enabled the correct exe-file in gamesettings.ini. Some games use different files for 32/64 and/or dx9/10/11. Other than that it could also be, that those games are just not compatible with tsnotifier. I know at least one dx11 64bit game that works with tsnotifier, so it can’t be a general problem.
Also make sure you run tsnotifier as admin, if the games request admin-rights at startup.
Ok. Thank you. I will check and try those things when I have time for them.
Lol. Found a moment. Running the TS Notifier with admin rights solves to problem. The text is blurred under DX11 whereas under DX9 it is clean and sharp. Like under DX11 TS Notifier turns on some sort of Anti-Aliasing effect but this could be also due to the game itself causing it.
Anyway, the problem is solved and I can read the names on the TS Notifier so that’s good enough for me even if the text is a bit blurred when playing under DX11.
Thank you for your help. 🙂
Nope. Stopped working. I don’t know what I did but it seems that TSnotifier stopped working again under DX11 in 64-bit game mode. Mechwarrior Online has the same exe name for both 32 bit and 64 bit clients. I don’t understand how it previously started working and now it stopped working again…
Ah. Now I understand. It’s the FRAPS! That’s what’s causing the problem. I have to start the game, TS notifier and Teamspeak BEFORE starting FRAPS.
If I start FRAPS with the TS notifier and teamspeak BEFORE starting the game, TS Notifier somehow bugs out and can’t display on top of the game anymore.
So the solution for this problem is just to start Teamspeak, TS notifier and THE GAME itself before starting the fraps. Then when the game has fully loaded, alt + tab out, start fraps and alt + tab back in. I guess fraps uses some sort of different method to hook up with the game then when the ts notifier is already up and running.
Weird… Gotta remember that order.
Hi. I used your fantastic application several years. But today, after re-install of OS I got problem. Could you help?
Game – Eve Online. All was fine last years. But now…
I’m sure that settings in gamesettings.ini are correct. I added one option for logs – logs.LogLevel. Seems like something wrong in mydxgi – http://pastie.org/10864218#
Make sure you install the most recent directX-Update from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109. Even if it’s from 2010 those files are not part of fresh os installation(not even for Windows 10). Also make sure to run Windows Update so that your installation is up-to-date.
Cool!
Installation of Dx-update helped. It works now \o/
Tyvm.
I am really loving this applications. Tried all sorts of things but this is ideal. Is it possible to make the overlay.offsetY settings work when not using the hardware overlay.
I use Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) to capture and stream to twitch. When using the hardware overlay I can position it where I want but for some reason OBS doe snot capture the overlay. When I use the default method I can not position it exactly where I want because the overlay.offsetY values seem to have no effect.
Thanks and great software!
you can finetune the position on a per game basis by editing the gamesettings.ini.
speaker.position=-1
logscroller.position=-1
possible values:
-1: Ignore(use setting from TSNotifier)
0 : Top-Left
1 : Middle-Left
2 : Top-Center
3 : Center
4 : Top-Right
5 : Middle-Right
If you want to finetune the position use these settings:
speaker.offsetX=0
speaker.offsetY=0
logscroller.offsetX=0
logscroller.offsetY=0
